Hands on Classes

Whether you are looking to operate a powerboat under or over 26 feet, we have a course to cover it. US Powerboating is an affiliate of US Sailing, the National Governing Body for the Sport of Sailing in the United States.
Using our 17 Ft Mako Skiff Center Console, we will teach you in a classroom and, most importantly, on the water to confidently operate a boat through our hands-on powerboat courses. Call Craig to set up a class. Each class requires two participants to operate, with a maximum of four (three is our ideal number).
The per person charge for full accreditation and licensing, including US Powerboating certification, is $500.00.
Group discounts are available, and our powerboat training classes are flexible in terms of location, date, and time. We will come to you.
** This is a two-day class with a total of 16 hours of instruction and hands-on education. We can adjust the format and hours per day if needed—just ask!
Classes will resume in March 2026.
An April vacation session will be available, so please check back soon.

Craig is also a Registered Athletic Administrator with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association and a Certified InterScholastic Coach with NFHS. Craig is also a proud member of IGFA, US Sailing and Power boating, Captains for Clean Water and the American Saltwater Guides Association to name just a few of the organizations he supports. Captain Craig is also qualified/certified to teach US Power boatings "Safe power Boat Handling " Course with state certification in Massachusetts.
